Comparison between the UAE and Brunei
The UAE and Brunei are Islamic countries. Like any other countries in the world they have similarities and differences. In this essay I'm going to explain more about these similarities and differences.
First I'm going to talk about the similarities. Both countries have hereditary monarchies. Also they are rich in oil and gas which means that both are rich countries. Moreover both countries have national airlines which have the most modern planes in the world. Furthermore they have modern airports which helps them to increase the visitors numbers.
Although the UAE and Brunei have similarities, there are major differences between them. Firstly, the UAE is located in the Middle East but Brunei is located in the Far East. Secondly, the weather in the UAE is hot and humid; on the other hand Brunei's weather is rainy. Thirdly, the UAE's currency is the dirham in contrast Brunei's currency which is the ringgit. Moreover the houses in Brunei are built a few meters above the ground which protects the residence from the animals like snakes whereas in the UAE this method is not used; the houses are built on the ground. Also the dress in both countries is different. In the UAE people wear kandoorah but in Brunei they wear shirts and trousers. In addition in the UAE the classes in the schools are single-sex whereas the classes in Brunei are co-educational. Finally, In the UAE cars are left hand drive; on the other hand in Brunei the cars are right-hand drive.
In my opinion living in the UAE is much better than living in Brunei because there are more malls, buildings and the life style is much nicer.

Reflection 2
Process essays consist of three paragraphs ; introduction , main paragraph and conclusion. It is similiar to the procedure but in a process essay we usually use the present passive voice ( is/are + part participle ) .
The past participle is not the same for all verbs. Some of the verbs have the same past simple and past participle such as study, studied and studied. And the other verbs have more than one form like see, saw and seen.
In writing process essays we follow the steps carefully and we use the appropriate verbs and the linking words.

Comparison between Abu Dhabi and Baniyas
Abu Dhabi is the biggest emirate in the UAE. It consists of a lot of cities and the biggest city apart from Abu Dhabi is Baniyas. Both Abu Dhabi and Baniyas have a few major similarities and many differences. In this essay I'm going to talk about these similarities and differences.
Firstly, I'm going to talk about the similarities. Both are in the UAE. Moreover both of them share the same government and have the same educational and healthcare system.
Now I'm going to talk about the differences. Baniyas has fewer high-rise buildings but in Abu Dhabi most of the buildings are skyscrapers. Moreover, life in Baniyas is more traditional where life in Abu Dhabi is modern. People in Abu Dhabi are civilised; on the other hand the greater proportion of the people in Baniyas are bedouin. Also the population in Abu Dhabi is much bigger than the population in Baniyas. In addition, the traffic and the noise in Abu Dhabi is more than the noise in Baniyas. Finally, there are no traffic lights in Baniyas; however Abu Dhabi has many.
Although Abu Dhabi is noisy and crowded, I prefer living in Abu Dhabi rather than Baniyas because it's modern and everything you need is available such as malls, fun cities and all kinds of entertainment.

The process of making an orange juice
Most people know that the orange juice is one of the richest juices in vitamin C and they also know that it helps in getting better in case of flu. But a lot of them don't know the process of producing this juice. In this essay I'm going to give you the steps of making the orange juice in the simplest way.
Firstly, the fruit is unloaded in the factory. Secondly, the oranges are graded and washed. Thirdly, the fruit is sized and then the juice is extracted. Then, the waste is fed to the animals and the juice is evaporated at a high temperature for a short time. After that, the juice is concentrated and stored in refrigerated storage. The next step is that the juice is passed through canning machine. Then it is shipped to Dubai. Finally, water is added to the juice and then it is supplied to the shops and the shops sell it to the customers.
It is true that the process is long but it is easy to understand.

Reflection 1
In my blog I have done two types of writing: writing a procedure and a story. And I'm going to make a comparision between them.
First let me talk about the procedure essay. In this type of writing you need to be aware of two important things; you need to use the imperative form such as do this and don't do that. The other thing is to use the linking words such as next, after that and then. Also in the procedure essays you will be given a flow chart and it includes information about the steps you have to follow and this information is in the -ing form and you have to change it to the imperative form as I said before. In addition you divide the essay into three paragraphs ( introduction, main paragraph and conclusion ).
Now I will talk about writing narratives ( stories ). In this type of writing you use the forms of the past ( past simple, past continuous and past perfect ). There is no flow chart to be followed but you use your imagination and creativity. Also the story should be in three separate paragraphs ( introduction, main idea and conclusion ).
In my opinion writing procedure is much easier because the information is there and you only have to put it in sentences and use the linking words to link them together so the mistakes are less. On the other hand in writing stories you express your feelings and you use your imagination and creativity which may lead to a lot of mistakes but from these mistakes you will learn and this is the type of writing which l love to write.

Trip to Dubai
Last weekend my friends and I decided to stay in Dubai for a night.
We left Abu Dhabi at 3 p.m and went straight away to Emirates Mall. We had our launch and then we started shopping. I bought a t-shirt which I had ordered one week earlier from Ralph Lauren shop. Also I bought jeans, sun glasses and shoes from Armani shop. After that we went to Starbucks and had a coffee. Then we went to the hotel and checked in. We relaxed for one hour, had a shower and then went out again. This time we went to Dubai Mall. I love this mall a lot because you can find brands you can't find in other malls. As soon as we arrived there, we went to the aquarium where you can find the most beautiful and strangest fishes in the world. We took some photos and then we went to see the dancing fountain. The dancing fountain is a show which lasts for ten minutes where you will spend a very nice time. Then we went to the cinema and watched a movie. Finally we had our dinner and went back to the hotel.
The following day we checked out and went back to Abu Dhabi after spending an interesting and beautiful weekend.

Trip to Malaysia
While I and my friends were sitting in a cafe in Marina Mall, feeling bored and fed up from the daily routine, one of my friends suggested travelling. We liked his suggestion and we decided that our destination would be Malaysia. We planned to stay there for seven nights. Four days later we were in a plane enjoying our meal and waiting to reach our destination.
As soon as we arrived in Kuala Lumpur, we took an internal flight and went to Langkawi island. The island is two hours away from the capital. When we arrived there we went to the resort and checked in. The resort is one of the best resorts on the island. Langkawi is very green and you can smell the freshness in the air. We went fishing, drifting and boat trips. We went to the jungle and our transportation was an elephant. We saw the monkeys and we even fed them. After an amazing three nights we travelled again to Kuala Lumpur. We went to a city called Sunway Lagoon. The city is 2 hours away from the capital. There we went to the water park and it was very exciting and we enjoyed our time a lot. The following day we went to Cameron City. It's located on top of a mountain so when we went there we could see the cloud passing through us. There we went to the butterfly garden. We saw the most beautiful butterflies in the world. After that we went back again to Kuala Lumpur. We went to the zoo and we went shopping in the twin tower. At night we prepared ourselves to travel back to the UAE. We arrived in the UAE the following afternoon after spending an amazing vacation.
I really enjoyed my holiday and I hope I will have the chance to visit Malaysia again

How to get good grades in an exam
Exams play an important role in the student's life. Some students take it seriously and they overload themselves by studying until they are exhausted. The other students leave things to the last minute which may lead them to fail. In both cases students use rhe wrong method. In this essay I will show you how to prepare yourself for the exam in the right way.
Firstly, don't study the day before the exam only; you should give yourself enough time to study; two or three days before the exam's day. Secondly, you have to organize your day correctly. Wake up in the morning, have a breakfast and then start your studying. Also taking breaks during the studying is very important. They help your brain to relax. Moreover they give you the chance to refresh yourself and every break should be at least half an hour. Thirdly, don't sleep late. Go to bed early and give your brain and your body the time to relax. Finally, leave the day before the exam only for revision and again go to bed early and wake up early with a smile.
In conclusion, organizing your day is very important. It gives you the chance to study and relax. I think organized students make their life much easier.
